Yucca filamentosa

The flowers can be eaten raw however I found them too bitter.  The flowering stalks, cooked like asparagus were good!  Of course, most things fried in butter are good.  :)

First chicken egg


Yay!  I'm excited about eggs.  Our chicken Charlie layed under a big plant pot...  I was sitting, watching the birds and I heard Charlie but couldn't see her.  Upon further investigation she was found out of the pen and trapped under a pot with her first egg of the season.
